Dickheads matches were first launched by Dick Smith as a protest over the
loss of Australia's manufacturing skills to overseas companies, and as part of
the Australian owned and made philosophy of Dick Smith Foods.
Recently, the Dickheads brand (now managed by an independent Australian-owned
company) has been revitalised, with a new range of products, a new website and a
new message.
The new look matches now feature two series of six different pack backs
focussing on Aussie Life stories and Brainteasers, all playing on the concept of
the Aussie Dickhead, and all carrying the message…
“We love our dickheads but you’d have to be a real dickhead to let our Aussie
brands disappear overseas. A protest from Dick Smith Foods.”
