Once Aussie-owned, Arnott's, is now owned by the giant Campbell's Soup Company in the USA. Its profits from the Year 2000 Annual Report were a colossal $2071 million. Yes, that's over AUD$2 billion as profits – imagine that! No wonder they needed to buy Arnott's - they needed to increase their profits.
Their Australia & Asia Pacific region had profits of $171 million in the 2000 and it looks as if Arnott's have paid dividends to the parent company in America of over $60 million in the last two years.
