The 'Dick Smith General Store' is owned and operated by Dick Smith Foods Pty Ltd, Unit 3/2 Niangala Close Belrose, NSW, 2085 (ABN: 62 088 657 881). By accessing, browsing or using this website, you agree to the terms, conditions and disclaimers herein as amended from time to time. Dick Smith Foods may amend these Terms and Conditions effective immediately. Your continued use of the website after amendment constitutes an agreement to abide by and be bound by those Terms and Conditions, as amended.
Dick Smith Foods makes every effort to combat viruses and malicious activities, however we cannot make any guarantees that our site will be free from such behaviours.
Dick Smith Foods is not responsible for loss in connection of your/anyone else's connection with the use of this site.
We endeavour to keep the accuracy, adequacy and/or completeness of the material on our site up to date, however we expressly disclaim liability for mistakes, misleading or absent information.
All prices shown on the Dick Smith website are in Australian dollars and includes GST where applicable. Delivery is calculated upon check out and therefore the GST is added to your total.
We ask that you please call us to discuss queries or concerns you may have in relation to your product/s or hamper/s you have sent or received.
Should you need to cancel your order, money will be refunded, ONLY if notice is received by Dick Smith Foods 48 hours prior to dispatch of your order. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice will be charged at 50% of the total order value.
Please note that all refunds for orders placed online or over the telephone are credited back on the original credit card with which the order was purchased.
Dick Smith Foods stock unique products sourced from all regions within Australia. We may experience stock outs from time to time given the unique nature of our products, and reserve the right to substitute an out of stock item with another fabulous Dick Smith Foods product to equal or greater value.
Delivery Address and Details
Dick Smith Foods currently delivers Australia wide ONLY. Delivery times vary depending on location. Please view delivery times when selecting your delivery method.
We do not take responsibility for late delivery or non-delivery due to incorrect or incomplete information.
It is the customer's (sender) responsibility to ensure that all delivery addresses and details provided to Dick Smith Foods are correct. A street address is required, as our carriers do not deliver to Post Office boxes.
It is recommended that someone should be at the delivery address to accept goods as our carriers will either leave the product unattended or if unsafe a card will be left. Should Dick Smith Foods incur any additional delivery costs as a result of any inaccurate delivery information provided by the customer, these additional costs will be passed on to the customer.
Please note: Dick Smith Foods Pty Ltd takes no responsibility if damage of any description occurs with a hamper left at an address on your instruction. A card will be left to advise the recipient of attempted delivery; it is then the responsibility of the recipient to arrange re-delivery/pick-up. Contact phone numbers are given to our contract carriers in the event of unexpected circumstances that could delay your delivery. Our carriers are not in a position to call prior to every delivery. Any re-delivery charges will be passed on to the customer.
Hot Weather Policy
At Dick Smith Foods we will endeavour, to the best of our ability, to prevent chocolates being spoilt in hot weather conditions, but we cannot guarantee the service of the delivery companies that transport your products and gifts from us to you.
Couriers and Australia Post may not deliver in refrigerated vehicles. When ordering and sending chocolate products they may not arrive at their destination in the highest quality if they have been sent in hot weather.
Whilst we try our best to ensure the products do not melt, we will not take any responsibility for chocolate melting during the delivery of the products, as this does not qualify as a defective Product. Should you have any concerns regarding the warm weather, please choose a hamper or gift parcel, which does not include chocolate.
